EVERYTHING BEGUN IN 1920
The history of Campero begins in 1920 when a Spaniard, Juan Bautista Gutiérrez, had to emigrate to Guatemala from his native Asturias. After a few years of hard work, back in 1936, our founder had already secured a mill and a small chicken farm.

OUR SECRET RECIPE
In 1971, together with his son Dionisio, creates a recipe full of flavor and passion opening the first restaurant Campero. With a style as natural as unique to prepare the chicken: a secret formula transmitted from generation to generation.
Since then, in our more than 350 Campero restaurants worldwide spread around the world, each piece of our famous crunchy chicken is seasoned and hand-breaded. Thus obtaining a crunchy golden, unique texture and flavor that have given us the respect of many cultures, and their recognition as great experts in the preparation of the best chicken.
